Our February auction features an Important Salem Federal Gentleman’s Secretary originally from the collection of Henry D. Green, that shares the same form as well as bellflower and ebony dot inlays on the pilasters as a labeled Edmund Johnson secretary at Winterthur. There is also an interesting group of American Folk Art including works by Clementine Hunter, Ulysses Davis, Richard Burnside, Sam Doyle, Jimmie Lee Sudduth and others.

Fine art highlights include mid-century paintings by Savannah/New Jersey artist David Delong and Israeli artist Lea Nikel as well as a Picasso aquatint and drypoint of the Artist in his Studio and a wonderful 19 th century portrait of a boy reading a newspaper by Charles Moreau.

The auction includes French, English and American 18th and 19th century furniture and decorations, Asian Art including a group of beautifully embroidered silk jackets and skirts from the 1930s and contemporary photographs of mainly Western landscape scenes
