We feel that it is important to know the worth of your possessions and in the case of insurance, to be able to substantiate insurance claims and avoid over or under insuring your valuables. Our estate tax and charitable donation appraisals meet the standards set by the IRS.

Our appraisal document provides a detailed description and photograph of each item including size, style, medium, quality, period, and provenance when available.

Everard Auctions produces reliable professional appraisals that meet the requirements of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice set by the Appraisal Foundation as well as the Code of Ethics governed by the American Society of Appraisers. Fees are based solely on the hours expended. Fees are never contingent on the purpose of the appraisal or the values determined. Please call us for our fee schedule.

Everard Auctions is also happy to offer clients consultation services for estates or collections that don’t require a formal appraisal. Often clients hire us to do a walk- through verbal valuation which helps with both family division of property and gives the client a sense of the current market value of the estate or collection. Of course if the intent is to sell the items, we do not charge for this service.
